Wide, the MTB rim gets wider

The new range of FIR wheels has received several changes compared to previous years. The most important change is the one related to the width of the rims which has involved the majority of FIR branded wheels, bringing many advantages:
- Noticeable increase in traction
- Greater resistance to stalling
- Stiffer and more robust wheels
- Better braking control
- More predictable driving feel
- Using lighter tires
These advantages are given by the fact that, by using a wider rim, the tire takes on a more uniform shape, without that “balloon” curvature which entails several disadvantages.
Now with the more linear tire shoulder you can reduce tire pressures and therefore benefit from all the advantages mentioned above.
