The season has begun and with it the FIR wheels have started to turn

For this year, in the MTB field, we have decided to support the Team Bike Innovation Gist Focus, a team full of young guys, but not only, who will participate in all the most important MTB marathon races in Italy.

During the 2019 season the team will equip their bikes with our MTB wheels dedicated to XC and Marathon: the Fusion XC and Fusion XC Carbon, wheels characterised by lightness and smoothness without neglecting the steering precision that MTB race courses increasingly require.

Among the ranks of the Team Bike Innovation Gist, Cristiano Salerno, the team's leading athlete, stands out in particular. Cristiano Salerno, after a past as a professional in the world of racing bikes, entered the world of mountain biking, immediately making himself noticed and conquering the jersey of another team, the blue team of the Italian national marathon mountain bike team.

With Cristiano leading the way, the rest of the team can do nothing but learn and the results have been visible since the first race. If Salerno has achieved “only eighth place” after a week of hard training with the national team, the young people of Bike Innovation have hit the mark, taking 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in their category at the Gran Fondo Tre Valli by Gis t , a race that is no small feat if you consider that it is the most attended Gran Fondo in Italy.

But the season is still long, there are many races and victories are there to be conquered, we strongly believe in these guys who put all their effort into this sport full of emotions and for this reason we have decided to provide them with our support with FIR MTB wheels.

The next appointment will be at the MTB Garda Marathon on April 14th and we are sure that the FIR wheels will be spinning at full speed to help the boys conquer the summit.
